MAGENZA-ISRAEL‘s main emphasis is to keeping up the tradition and achievements of Central European and German Judaism combined with the memory of the great teacher Raschi in tribute to his work.

Rashi – living and acting in Magenza, (old Mainz) and the nearby Rhineland cities Speyer and Worms, had done much for the understanding and communication between the ethnological and social classes. The spirit of Raschi and the spirit of his work is still perceptive in this area.

It is one of the most important endeavours of Magenza-Israel to revitalize, to extend and to strengthen Rashi’s intention and work.

His spirit is the challenge to Magenza-Israel: To develop and to improve a better relationship between Israel, its people and the area RASCHI once started to teach: Old Magenza.
